Hi Friends!
It's been...a while. But also, Summer finally came to Chicago, so I've been soaking up as much Lake time as I physically can. What can I say that Moana hasn't already sang better: It calllllls meeee...
Now that that's out of the way, I'll give you a couple exciting book updates! I just finished the first draft of my 3rd book! It feels pretty surreal, but also a little anticlimactic because it feels like I've written 5-7 books with all the re-writes of 1 and 2.
Speaking of 1 and 2...
Luna and her Protectress friends have new life and a new title! I finally got some success querying, so I'm gonna hold off self-publishing plans for THE MOON SPINNER for now. Crossing all my fingers and toes for some good news!
And THE ETERNAL NIGHT SOIREE has a new concept that will probably be a mostly complete re-write save for some excellent witty banter between a love struck vampire and the witch he's forced to Court during a competition. There will be Court intrigue and Court Courting traditions, along with a curse after a Marriage went awry. It promises to be good fun. And by it promises, I mean I promise because I'm not re-writing this to not make it way better for all my future readers! I know you're out there!
So, that's mostly all I wanted to share for now. A new Beatrix Bobbit is also on the way. I'm eager to check in on how their Summer is going. I heard Mr. Bobbit retired and his retirement party may have been poorly attended...
How's your Summer going? Are you reading anything amazing?
I recently finished MY FRIENDS by Fredrik Backman, WATER FOR ELEPHANTS by Sara Gruen and GLORIOUS EXPLOITS by Ferdia Lennon.
All three were absoluely amazing. But the biggest surprise was by far GLORIOUS EXPLOITS.
If you read it, I wanna talk about it!
:) Sarah
