After a loungey and productive weekend, I'm resisting leaning into a new week. And, would very much prefer to stay inside the weekend bliss a little longer...

Alas, Luna calls (more like shouts somewhat annoyingly). These are some things that are helping bring bliss from the weekend into the week ahead.

1. Shopping for underwear led me to this MOON romper that OBVIOUSLY Luna had to have. I'll be wearing it all summer long. Getting in character to write is a new level of excuse for fashion, and I'm fully embracing it.

2. I'm on the third book of Victoria Aveyard's Red Queen series (The King's Cage). And, the whole series is good, but I've been missing that deep obsession that makes you do wild things like wait in line for the release of the next book in a series at midnight (thanks for driving me, Mom and being by my side just as excited, sissy!). FYI Throne of Glass, Court of Thorns and Roses, Ember in the Ashes and Caraval were all unstoppable for me (obvi Harry Potter along with Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia and His Dark Materials too). A series can still be great without being unstoppable. Maybe it's even a good thing to have free space for other good things? All that to say, Red Queen is good, and I recommend. Expect more GoT, less fun magical escapism. Intrigued to see where it all ends up with twists and turns. Also, just finished The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue which WAS so magical and addicting and lyrical and really unlike anything it's being compared to. Read it, get lost in the beautiful flow.

3. Outdoor workouts are back. Sundays spent handstand hopping and cross-training in the park with my bf is one of my favorite things about warmer days. Followed by apple fritters and lots of coffee and leisurely reading and writing and watching my dog survey the world from our balcony. A warm weather weekend tradition to look forward to each week, and hang onto when the weather drops back down (because I mentioned GoT and now the Whitewalkers are coming for us).
